Lube Mobile Hygiene Practices When Servicing Customers Vehicles

There is evidence that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person, some reports suggest the virus can last for several days on surfaces including plastics found in vehicles.

Good hygiene can prevent infection from coronavirus as well as the common cold and flu.

With this in mind we wish to share with you what practices Lube Mobile have put in place to ensure the safety of our Customers and of our staff.

Prior to working inside a vehicle, the Lube Mobile technician will use the following procedure;

  1. The technician will check with you whether you have been overseas and ordered to comply with a self-isolation order.

  2. Disinfect car.

  3. Disinfect hands.

  4. Where possible avoid switching on HAVAC system (air conditioning / heater control).

Disinfect Car

  1. Disinfect outside door handle prior to entering the vehicle.

  2. Spray or wipe all relevant areas inside the vehicle.

  3. Allow disinfectant to sit for up to 10mins to dry by airing out the vehicle.

  4. Conduct works inside the vehicle.

  5. When the work is finished we will give the vehicle a final spray or wipe prior to returning the vehicle to you (including outside door handle).

Parts of the Vehicle to be Disinfected

  1. Door handle (outside first then inside).

  2. Steering wheel.

  3. Radio and other control buttons and indicators.

  4. Seat belt.

  5. Any other areas we may need to touch when working inside the vehicle (i.e. glove box handles, drink holders, dashboard, hand brake and gears etc.)

Disinfect Hands

  1. We will use hand sanitiser or washing of hands prior to entering the vehicle.

  2. After completing the work we will Sanitise our hands thoroughly and close the door to the vehicle.

Payment and Invoicing

  1. No Cash payments. Our strong preference is payment by card via the tap and go facility.

  2. Printing of invoices and quotes will cease and we will instead email them to you.

Should you have any queries regarding our Coronavirus (Covid-19) procedures, or any other matter please do not hesitate in contacting us on 13 30 32.

Petrol Intake System
Carbon Clean

3in1 Fuel Injector

Remove air intake - set up application tool

Induction cleaning through Throttle Body

Fuel System Check

Tank Additive to clean supply side

Scan Tool Diagnostic Check

Road Test

Why do it?

Carbon build up and contamination is not a case of “if”. It will occur

In most petrol engines it is however a slow build up and takes time to affect the efficient operation of your car. As it happens slowly you don’t notice it’s affects.

Excessive carbon build up affects how your engine “breathes” by restricting air flow into the engine and the proper operation of the throttle body. The choking of the airways your engine breathes through, a dirty throttle body and valve deposits will lead to issues such as poor throttle response, loss of engine power and increased fuel consumption.

By performing a Petrol Intake System Carbon Clean you will

  • Improve performance
  • Improve fuel economy
  • Smooth rough idle
  • Lower emissions

How does Carbon build up?

Carbon contamination in the induction system is more of an issue than ever. This is due to a number of factors:

  • Engine design with direct injection engines no longer “washing” valves and intakes as they inject the fuel directly into the combustion chamber.
  • Extended service intervals
  • Short trips and city driving.
  • High exhaust gas recirculation flow rates to regulate the production of Nox (Nitrogen Oxides)
  • Low viscosity engine oils that promote higher oil misting through the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system
  • Turbo charging systems that allow oil bypass through turbine shaft seals
  • As carbon deposits form they attract more carbon, accelerating the process.

How often is a Petrol Intake System Carbon Clean needed?

  • Every 60,000 km when your vehicle does mainly short trips/city driving
  • Every 80,000 km when your vehicle does mainly long trips/freeway driving
  • When you start to have poor fuel economy
  • When you notice your vehicle is sluggish
  • When your vehicle doesn't provide the power it used to
  • When your vehicle doesn't idle well

Please Note: This service is recommended for modern “direct injection” petrol engines. For older non-direct injection petrol engines see Prostream Petrol Injector Clean and Decarb

What does a Petrol Intake System Carbon Clean do?

  • Cleans intake manifold
  • Cleans Throttle body
  • Removes carbon deposits from intake valves
  • Removes contaminants and moisture from fuel tank & fuel lines
  • Removes carbon deposits
  • Improves fuel consumption
  • Improves performance & driveability
  • Gives a smoother idle
  • Reduces exhaust emissions
