Lube Mobile Hygiene Practices When Servicing Customers Vehicles

There is evidence that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person, some reports suggest the virus can last for several days on surfaces including plastics found in vehicles.


Good hygiene can prevent infection from coronavirus as well as the common cold and flu.


With this in mind we wish to share with you what practices Lube Mobile have put in place to ensure the safety of our Customers and of our staff.


Prior to working inside a vehicle, the Lube Mobile technician will use the following procedure;


  1. The technician will check with you whether you have been overseas and ordered to comply with a self-isolation order.

  2. Disinfect car. 

  3. Disinfect hands. 

  4. Where possible avoid switching on HAVAC system (air conditioning / heater control). 


Disinfect Car

  1. Disinfect outside door handle prior to entering the vehicle. 

  2. Spray or wipe all relevant areas inside the vehicle. 

  3. Allow disinfectant to sit for up to 10mins to dry by airing out the vehicle. 

  4. Conduct works inside the vehicle.

  5. When the work is finished we will give the vehicle a final spray or wipe prior to returning the vehicle to you (including outside door handle). 


Parts of the Vehicle to be Disinfected

  1. Door handle (outside first then inside). 

  2. Steering wheel. 

  3. Radio and other control buttons and indicators. 

  4. Seat belt. 

  5. Any other areas we may need to touch when working inside the vehicle (i.e. glove box handles, drink holders, dashboard, hand brake and gears etc.) 


Disinfect Hands

  1. We will use hand sanitiser or washing of hands prior to entering the vehicle. 

  2. After completing the work we will Sanitise our hands thoroughly and close the door to the vehicle. 


Payment and Invoicing

  1. No Cash payments. Our strong preference is payment by card via the tap and go facility. 

  2. Printing of invoices and quotes will cease and we will instead email them to you.

What's included in a Nissan service?

For your Nissan service with Lube Mobile, it all depends on if you require a warranty service, similar to a Nissan dealership service, or a regular post-warranty annual service. If you require a warranty service then we’ll follow what is included in your logbooks. Most people will keep a vehicle logbook in their glove compartment and you can flip through the pages and find the last signed page; the very next page will determine what exactly needs to be completed. At Lube Mobile, we can complete your next service and do it in a way that keeps your warranty valid.

If you’re looking for an annual service for a car that has passed its warranty period, we can complete those for you. An annual service will mostly cover lubricant replacement and a safety inspection. For more detailed services, such as your three-year service or your six-year service, it will include the annual service but with a few extra items. For our minor service you can expect the following:

  • A check of the cooling and charging systems

  • Change of engine oil and filter

  • An under-bonnet check and top-up

  • A brake and safety inspection

How long will Nissan service take?

With all of the Lube Mobile service bookings, which includes a Nissan service, you can expect to be without your car for about two (2) hours. If we need the car for longer than that we’ll let you know, but usually, that is only when you are getting extra jobs completed at the same time.

How much does a Nissan service cost?

When you are booking in for your Nissan service, we’ll show you exactly how much it will cost. This allows you to compare our service and prices with any other services and consider the benefits of both.

If you’re booking in for a warranty service it may cost more than a regular annual service, but this is usually because we have to follow the logbook and complete what it has deemed necessary. Even though you may have Nissan fixed price servicing it can be cheaper to get your service completed by another mechanic, especially when you factor in the time and cost of getting your car to the dealership. One bonus for using Lube Mobile is that it doesn’t matter where you are, as we’ll visit the car wherever it’s located, you can rely on us to get the job done.
