Lube Mobile Hygiene Practices When Servicing Customers Vehicles

There is evidence that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person, some reports suggest the virus can last for several days on surfaces including plastics found in vehicles.

Good hygiene can prevent infection from coronavirus as well as the common cold and flu.

With this in mind we wish to share with you what practices Lube Mobile have put in place to ensure the safety of our Customers and of our staff.

Prior to working inside a vehicle, the Lube Mobile technician will use the following procedure;

  1. The technician will check with you whether you have been overseas and ordered to comply with a self-isolation order.

  2. Disinfect car.

  3. Disinfect hands.

  4. Where possible avoid switching on HAVAC system (air conditioning / heater control).

Disinfect Car

  1. Disinfect outside door handle prior to entering the vehicle.

  2. Spray or wipe all relevant areas inside the vehicle.

  3. Allow disinfectant to sit for up to 10mins to dry by airing out the vehicle.

  4. Conduct works inside the vehicle.

  5. When the work is finished we will give the vehicle a final spray or wipe prior to returning the vehicle to you (including outside door handle).

Parts of the Vehicle to be Disinfected

  1. Door handle (outside first then inside).

  2. Steering wheel.

  3. Radio and other control buttons and indicators.

  4. Seat belt.

  5. Any other areas we may need to touch when working inside the vehicle (i.e. glove box handles, drink holders, dashboard, hand brake and gears etc.)

Disinfect Hands

  1. We will use hand sanitiser or washing of hands prior to entering the vehicle.

  2. After completing the work we will Sanitise our hands thoroughly and close the door to the vehicle.

Payment and Invoicing

  1. No Cash payments. Our strong preference is payment by card via the tap and go facility.

  2. Printing of invoices and quotes will cease and we will instead email them to you.

Should you have any queries regarding our Coronavirus (Covid-19) procedures, or any other matter please do not hesitate in contacting us on 13 30 32.

This means that you can rely on us to perform a service that has consistent standards, and we’ll honour our warranty on parts and labour no matter which mechanic, or where you had your car serviced. At Lube Mobile we all work as a team and providing excellent services to all our customers is what we do best.

When thinking about a tyre shop in Melbourne it may be easy to think that you need to go to a workshop to have your tyres replaced. At Lube Mobile, we are proving that this is not the case, as car tyres can be replaced from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere the car is located). We operate all over Australia and are present in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra and many other towns. You can consider us as the tyres shops ‘near me’.

Booking in for a mobile mechanic to replace or repair tyres can be done through our website. All we need is your postcode and the size of the tyre you need. Then you can choose from the available times and dates. If you’d rather talk to a person, you can call us on 13 30 32, and one of our operators will be happy to complete your booking for you.

Where to find tyre shops in Melbourne?

In looking for a tyre shop in Melbourne you’ll find many different places and often it can be difficult to narrow down your selection. At Lube Mobile, we have made the process simpler, as we’ll take the workshop to you. This will mean that you don't need to be cornered about how far away the business is, or how you’ll get there. It doesn’t matter if you are based in CBD, South Melbourne, Frankston, St Kilda, Bundoora, Dandenong, Werribee, Docklands, Southbank or Port Melbourne, you’ll always find our mechanic at your service.

Booking in with us is easy and can be completed through our website any time you like. All our prices are available at the time of booking, and you can choose the time and date, you can even choose which of our mobile mechanics will attend to your car. If you’re simply looking for tyre shops near me, you can give Lube Mobile a call and we’ll visit you to replace your tyres, or any other car repairs and car services.

What tyres should I buy for my car?

When thinking about buying from your tyre shop in Melbourne, consider where you’ll be driving the vehicle and if you need anything beyond the standard performance you get from most tyres. The majority of vehicles in Melbourne will only need tyres suitable for driving on hard and smooth surfaces, as the roads are generally in good condition.

At Lube Mobile, we can choose the tyres that are best suited for your vehicle from a selection that we have in stock. We’ve found that most people are happy with whatever is ready to go, and not that interested in brands or styles or tyre. However, if you have a preference for keeping with a brand of tyre, you can call us to make sure we have those in stock. If you want a specific tyre, we may need some time to order these from our supplier. With the huge amount of tyre brands and sizes, it is not usually possible to have them all available at all times. At Lube Mobile, we keep the most popular brands in stock at all times.

What is included in a tyre shop service in Melbourne?

A service from Lube Mobile as the tyre shop for Melbourne will include several steps. The most important being the replacement of your tyres. The entire process will only take a few hours and we’ll tidy the area once we’re done. All tyre services include:

  • An overall condition check of your tyres; this includes the spare tyre

  • Raise the vehicle and remove all the old tyres

  • Replace tyres as necessary and balance the wheels

  • Refit tyres back to the car; lower your vehicle and clean the worksite

  • Check all tyre pressure to make sure they’re within the recommended range

After the tyre mechanic has completed the job, you’ll get your car back immediately. Then you’ll have the chance to talk with the person that completed the job, and you can ask them any car-related questions, so you’ll get the help you need. They can show you any problems that may need to be addressed in the future, or at your next booking.

How long will tyres last?

How long tyres will last on your vehicle is dependent on a few different variables, and therefore it can be difficult to pinpoint an exact time. For most people who drive on smooth well-maintained roads, you can expect to get about 30,000-50,000km out of a set of four tyres. If your wheel alignment is not correct, this will reduce the lifespan of your tyres.

As the tyre shop for Melbourne, Lube Mobile can recommend the best tyres for your vehicle. Taking into consideration where you drive, we’ll offer the best tyres available. Provided they’re maintained by keeping the air pressures within the correct range, the tyres are rotated, and your wheel alignment is good, you should expect to get the full use out of the tyres.
