Lube Mobile Hygiene Practices When Servicing Customers Vehicles

There is evidence that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person, some reports suggest the virus can last for several days on surfaces including plastics found in vehicles.

Good hygiene can prevent infection from coronavirus as well as the common cold and flu.

With this in mind we wish to share with you what practices Lube Mobile have put in place to ensure the safety of our Customers and of our staff.

Prior to working inside a vehicle, the Lube Mobile technician will use the following procedure;

  1. The technician will check with you whether you have been overseas and ordered to comply with a self-isolation order.

  2. Disinfect car.

  3. Disinfect hands.

  4. Where possible avoid switching on HAVAC system (air conditioning / heater control).

Disinfect Car

  1. Disinfect outside door handle prior to entering the vehicle.

  2. Spray or wipe all relevant areas inside the vehicle.

  3. Allow disinfectant to sit for up to 10mins to dry by airing out the vehicle.

  4. Conduct works inside the vehicle.

  5. When the work is finished we will give the vehicle a final spray or wipe prior to returning the vehicle to you (including outside door handle).

Parts of the Vehicle to be Disinfected

  1. Door handle (outside first then inside).

  2. Steering wheel.

  3. Radio and other control buttons and indicators.

  4. Seat belt.

  5. Any other areas we may need to touch when working inside the vehicle (i.e. glove box handles, drink holders, dashboard, hand brake and gears etc.)

Disinfect Hands

  1. We will use hand sanitiser or washing of hands prior to entering the vehicle.

  2. After completing the work we will Sanitise our hands thoroughly and close the door to the vehicle.

Payment and Invoicing

  1. No Cash payments. Our strong preference is payment by card via the tap and go facility.

  2. Printing of invoices and quotes will cease and we will instead email them to you.

Should you have any queries regarding our Coronavirus (Covid-19) procedures, or any other matter please do not hesitate in contacting us on 13 30 32.

If you’re interested in getting your car repaired from the comfort of your own home, you should give Lube Mobile a call on 13 30 32, or alternatively, you can book directly through our website; which is perfect if you tend to remember things in the middle of the night!

Lube Mobile has a network of vehicles operating all over Australia. You can be sure of getting premium service, that is backed by a warranty on workmanship (12 months or 10,000km). As we’re a single business and not franchised, it won't matter if you have your tyre service completed in Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, or Adelaide, if something goes wrong, we’ll support you and take care of the problem.

Once you book in with Lube Mobile, we know that we’ll become your recommended tyre shop in Newcastle. As a mobile mechanic, we pride ourselves on providing excellent services, all from your choice of convenient locations!

Where to find tyre shops in Newcastle?

Having a high-quality tyre shop in Newcastle that is ‘near me’, is your best option for a convenient experience. Whether you’re based in Merewether, Hamilton, Charlestown, or Warners Bay, we will come to your door, or office, or anywhere your car is. You won’t need to worry about getting your vehicle in to see us which makes us the best option when looking for a nearby tyre shop.

You can book in directly through our website, or if you want to see how much we charge for tyres, and the times available you can do that as well. When you go to the booking page, enter in your postcode and the tyre size you need (we’ll show you where to find this out), then you’ll see the next available appointments, or you can look through the calendar for more details.

We’re also operating all over Australia, so if you ever have any mechanical problems when you're travelling you can call on us as your local trusted mechanic. You can consider Lube Mobile as the tyres shop near me, as we’re never far away, and it doesn’t get any closer than to your door!

What tyres should I buy for my car?

When selecting tyres from your local tyre shop in Newcastle, it can become a little overwhelming as there are so many different ones available. What tyres are best and is there any difference between certain models and brands? For most people, provided the tyres give you a good overall experience then there is almost no difference between all the major players in the tyre industry. At Lube Mobile, we’ll select the best tyres for you from those we have available (this means you get faster service as you won’t need to wait for tyres to arrive).

If you do have a preference for the tyres, perhaps you’d like to stick with what is currently on your car. Then you can call our team on 13 30 32, and they’ll talk to you about your options and book you in on a date that gives us enough time to order tyres if we don't have them in stock.

If you use the car for other purposes than driving on smooth hard roads, like those you’ll find in most parts of Newcastle or Sydney, then a standard road tyre is your best option. If you're driving on loose dirt roads, we’d recommend calling our team and they can recommend a better tyre more suited to that environment.

What is included in a tyre shop service in Newcastle?

After you book in at our tyre shop in Newcastle (by that we mean through our website), Lube Mobile will arrive on time and replace service, or repair tyres. For most tyre replacements we’ll follow our service routine, this includes:

  • A general tyre inspection, including the spare tyre

  • Raising the vehicle and removing all the tyres

  • Replace tyres with your selected replacements

  • Refit the tyres to the car, completing a wheel balance

  • Lower the vehicle, and check all the tyre pressures

  • Tidy worksite and return keys to the owner

When you get your car back, you’ll have the chance to discuss any problems with your car with the mechanic. Getting first-hand information means they can show you exactly what they mean when discussing any issues.

How long will tyres last?

Tyres will wear at different rates, and a lot of that is determined by the type of tyre you have, your car maintenance, the roads you drive on, and your style of driving. Most people are competent drivers that drive on hard surfaces, and in this case, you’ll get the most out of your tyres. If you spend some time driving on dirt, or loose gravel roads, you may find the lifespan of your tyres is reduced. You can make sure your tyres wear correctly by having regular alignments completed; about once per six months is enough.

As your tyre shop for Newcastle, Lube Mobile can recommend the best tyres for your vehicle based on how many kilometres you do in a year and the area you drive. We stock a good variety of tyres that will suit most locations. Most tyres will last anywhere from 30,000km to 50,000km or around 2-3 years of driving. If your tyres are older than 10 years, they need to be replaced as the materials begin to deteriorate at that stage.
